Our engineering & technical teams design, build, maintain and continually develop our pioneering distilling and packaging processes and technologies, so we can keep producing our impressive portfolio of products. But this doesn’t happen by chance; we recruit the best people to come and work with us to make this happen.

The William Grant & Sons Scientific, Engineering & Technical Graduate Programme has been developed to grow these skills and the leadership abilities that we need if we want to achieve our ambitious growth plans. The three year programme is ideal for those who can demonstrate talent within a technical background as well as leadership potential.

About the programme

The intention of the Scientific, Engineering & Technical Graduate Programme is to provide you with the skills to move into a leadership or technical specialist role by the end of year 3 at the latest. The scheme has some set principles, but is also suitably flexible to meet the business needs.

ANNUAL PLACEMENTS
The programme is based around three, one year placements, with each taking place at a different one of our operational locations, to provide you with the widest possible experience. Pre-defined projects will be assigned that provide you with the opportunity to work as part of a team as well as lead small projects of your own.
MENTORING
You will be appointed a mentor who will provide support and encouragement to you for the duration of the programme.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Graduates take responsibility for their own personal development during the programme. You will need a high degree of self motivation, seeking out opportunities to learn and develop.
GRADUATE PEER GROUP
Quarterly opportunities will be provided for graduates to share their work with each other and provide feedback and support.
NON-TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT
Graduates need to develop their non-technical skills in conjunction with core technical abilities; you will complete 2-3 modules per annum to work towards this.
